Workwear Group partners with The Better Cotton Initiative to improve cotton farming globally.

We are on a mission.

Workwear Group have taken a step forward in our sustainability journey by partnering with the Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) to support sustainable cotton practices that are better for the farmers, and the planet.

Workwear Group is committing to sourcing 100% of our cotton as ‘more sustainable cotton’ by 2025. More sustainable cotton’ includes BCI, Australian Cotton or recycled cotton.

*Better Cotton is not physically traceable to end products. However, BCI Farmers benefit from the demand for Better Cotton in equivalent volumes to those we ‘source.’

This commitment means we will help farmers:

What is BCI?

The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) brings together farmers, ginners, manufacturers, retailers, brands, civil society and grassroots organisations in a unique global community committed to developing Better Cotton as a sustainable mainstream commodity.

The Better Cotton Standard is a set of on-farm best practices covering social and environmental issues like pesticides, water, soil health and wellbeing.

In the 2018/19 cotton season, two-million BCI farmers across 23 countries produced 5.6 million metric tonnes of Better Cotton lint, accounting for 22% of global cotton production.
