Workwear Group, as it is known today, is a world-class leader in specialised uniform solutions.

  • Quality Management

    Quality Management

    Workwear Group is ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certified (Certification number: 20797). Workwear Group is an experienced ISO certified supplier and we ensure that our products meet industry and regulatory safety obligations, to reduce any associated risk.

    • Each supplier must demonstrate that they have formal quality management systems in place.
    • All fabrics undergo independent laboratory tests for pilling, tearing resistance, washing stability, seam slippage, rubbing fastness, colourfastness, shrinkage and light fastness to ensure durability.
    • Our compliance testing covers off all fabrics, trims and finished garments to relevant Australia Standards for performance and safety.
    • We have a comprehensive inspection and testing process to ensure compliance with specifications. At the point of manufacture, a series of strict production control procedures apply. Garments are visually inspected and measurements checked using the Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) 2.5 random sampling method, ISO 2859.1


  • Compliance & Ethical Sourcing

    We have a firm commitment and progressive approach to Ethical Sourcing and Sustainable Practices, something our competitors also claim, but we can prove and validate it on all levels of our business. As a publicly listed company, we have in place a governance framework to ensure our Ethical Sourcing Program is executed, and your brand is protected.

    • We are proud of our commitment to improving safety for our employees and customers, as well as delivering high quality, sustainable products and services. We want to create value for the communities in which we operate and take our commitment to Ethical supply very seriously.
    • Workwear Group are the first uniform provider in Australia to become a certified member of Sedex, taking a proactive approach to supply chain transparency and ethical compliance.
    • Workwear Group also has a number of environmentally friendly processes for recycled fabrics and garments.
    • Workwear Group Pty has been accredited with Ethical Clothing Australia (Accreditation No. 168/15) since 2015.

    Opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders

    As a certified member of Supply Nation, Australia’s first Indigenous supplier diversity council, Workwear Group is committed to increasing opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and individuals.

    Workwear Group plan to meet the requirements of the Aboriginal Participation Plan by adopting the principles of the Wesfarmers Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). RAP outlines specific measurable actions to be undertaken across the Wesfarmers Group targeting Indigenous employment, supplier diversity and community engagement.

    To assist in accelerating indigenous employment within Wesfarmers businesses, we have active programs in place with Indigenous recruiters like New Start Australia, a 100% Indigenous owned company, to actively recruit indigenous employees in nationwide. 

    As of 30 June 2019, Wesfarmers employed 1,755 Indigenous team members with plans to further support Indigenous employment and increase the number of Indigenous people in management and leadership positions.
