Workwear Group Builds on End-of-Life Uniform Recycling in Partnership with Shred-X
Workwear Group (WWG), one of Australia’s leading uniform and workwear providers, has taken the next step in its sustainability journey by building on its end-of-life recycling solution in partnership with Shred-X, through Shred-X’s new dedicated textile recycling division, TeXtura.

This initiative enables Workwear Group’s customers to find secure disposal solutions for their used and unused uniforms with a 100% landfill diversion guarantee and transparent impact reporting.
TeXtura by Shred-X
National secure destruction company Shred-X launched their clothing and textiles recycling solutions brand TeXtura, to address the growth of textile waste in Australia. TeXtura specialises in certified textile recovery services, helping businesses manage end-of-life uniforms securely, while diverting waste from landfill. Their services are designed to protect brand integrity, while supporting waste-to-landfill reduction goals, by enabling textile waste to be disposed through the customer’s desired range of tailored pathways. These pathways can be selected based on best fit for a specific fibre type or preferred environmental outcome. Customers can choose to recycle in a way that works best for them—for example, by diverting natural fibres through organics recycling and sending blended fibres for mechanical recycling. At Workwear Group, we can tailor a customised proposal to suit each customer’s desired outcomes.
What the Partnership Offers
Workwear Group’s partnership with TeXtura enables a comprehensive textile recycling program for B2B customers and internal operations. The solution includes:
- End-to-End Service: Collection, sorting, optional shredding and disposal
- Diverse Disposal Options: Mechanical recycling (e.g. insulation, furniture fill), energy recovery, organics processing, and charitable reuse
- Secure Collection and Transport: Lockable bins or QR-coded satchels ensure traceability and brand security
- NAID AAA-Certified Processing: All textiles are handled in accredited facilities, reinforcing safety and compliance
- 100% Landfill Diversion: All recovered materials are redirected from landfill
- Transparent Reporting: Clients receive detailed documentation on disposal volumes and environmental impact
Tailoring for a Better Tomorrow
This partnership marks a significant achievement for Workwear Group as it continues to expand on its solutions to reduce textile waste-to-landfill and support its journey towards circularity. The program is designed to be scalable and flexible, allowing each organisation to tailor their recycling solution to meet unique business needs and specific sustainability targets.
Looking Ahead
Workwear Group’s strengthened partnership with Shred-X, delivered via TeXtura, offers customers a streamlined and certified disposal pathway with clear environmental benefits. By simplifying the process—removing the need to sort, decommission, or manage multiple providers—TeXtura makes uniform recovery easier and more accessible.
As TeXtura continues to grow its capabilities, we remain focused on strengthening sustainable practices across the uniform lifecycle—from design and sourcing through to recovery and reuse.
We look forward to sharing more in this space as our efforts continue to evolve.
