Workwear Group Receives Ethical Clothing Australia Accreditation
Workwear Group (WWG), a leading supplier in Australia’s uniform and workwear industry, has reaffirmed its commitment to ethical manufacturing. First accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia (ECA) in 2015, WWG has proudly maintained this accreditation through an ongoing dedication to fair and transparent production.
What is Ethical Clothing Australia?
Ethical Clothing Australia is a not-for-profit accreditation body that promotes ethical and transparent practices within Australia’s textile, clothing, and footwear industries. ECA accreditation ensures that businesses uphold fair labour standards across their local supply chains.
To achieve accreditation, businesses must demonstrate that all workers within their Australian supply chain receive fair wages, work in safe conditions, and have their rights protected. This is verified through independent audits, reinforcing compliance with ECA’s rigorous standards.
Workwear Group’s Ethical Commitment
Since its initial accreditation, WWG has embedded ECA principles into its operations. Currently, 22 local suppliers participate in WWG’s ECA-accredited supply chain, supporting various stages of production, including:
- Design and pattern making
- Cutting and manufacturing
- Value-adding services
WWG is also proud to collaborate with Indigenous supply partners, contributing to both ethical practices and the inclusion of First Nations communities in the Australian textile and apparel sector. All suppliers undergo independent audits as part of the accreditation process, ensuring fair treatment of workers and compliance with ethical standards at every level of the supply chain.
Making an Impact
Workwear Group’s partnership with Ethical Clothing Australia underscores its broader commitment to responsible business practices, community support, and transparency. By choosing local, accredited suppliers, WWG actively contributes to a fairer garment industry—one that values, respects, and protects the people involved at every stage of production.
Looking Ahead
WWG is proud to continue its partnership with Ethical Clothing Australia, reinforcing its leadership in ethical sourcing and sustainable practices. As the company moves forward, it remains committed to driving positive change and setting the benchmark for socially responsible local manufacturing.
