Workwear Group commits to using FSC

Workwear Group is working with suppliers to use more FSC product across all printing.

Corporate social responsibility and sustainability are more than just buzzwords, and it is a particular focus for our team at Workwear Group. We are on a mission to tackle social, ethical and environmental issues through each section of our business, and we believe that the little changes we make today, add up to huge milestones in the future.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) are a global not-for-profit organisation that sets the standards for what a responsibly managed forest is, both environmentally and socially. FSC certification tracks the wood from the forest to the shelf. Therefore, when you see the FSC label on a product, you can be sure that the paper or timber came from responsible sources.

Workwear Group is committed to implementing sustainable practices to continue to do better. Currently, we are using FSC card on the majority of printed marketing collateral, and have rolled out FSC swing tags for new product across NNT, KingGee and Hard Yakka. Our teams are focused on expanding the use of recycled product and are introducing other alternatives such as jute.

FSC members include some of Australia and the world’s leading environment groups (WWF, the Wilderness Society, and Greenpeace), social organisations (the AMWU and Timber Communities Australia), businesses (TetraPak, Woolworths, Officeworks, and Kimberly Clark) as well as forest owners and managers, processing companies, academics, campaigners, and individuals.

We are continuing to work with our suppliers to find improved environmental solutions and we can implement and pass on to our clients.
